Kibbutz Trips and Days Out
Once every month or so the Kibbutz will arrange a trip to somewhere of interest. We had some excellent trips to The Golan Heights, The Sea of Gallilee, The Jordan River (baptism optional) and some archaeological sites such as Caesarea and Bet Shean.
Caesarea is a site of archaeological interest and boasts the remains of a Roman ampitheatre.

We had a great day a Caesarea - swimming in the sea and picnicing on the beach. We also visited a nearby art museum.

Israel is such an easy country to travel around, that we managed to visit lots of interesting places on a miniscule budget. Hitch hiking is easy and Shaar Haamakim's central location meant an abundance of interesting towns were within easy reach.
